Protecting Voting Rights:
A4083/S3009 – Establishes “John R. Lewis Voter Empowerment Act of New Jersey.”

Policing and Criminal Justice Reform
S3672/A4987 – Establishes protections for immigrants interacting with government agencies; designates “New Jersey Immigrant Trust Act.”
A3441/S2943 – Authorizes creation of local civilian review boards to review police operations and conduct; appropriates $600,000
A845/S2394 – Requires access to law enforcement disciplinary records as government records; requires such records to be retained for certain period of time.
Protecting Access to Healthcare:
S3491/A4656 – Secures protections for patients and providers accessing and providing legally protected health care activities; establishes right of residents to legally protected health care services, which are restricted in other states.
S1941 – Establishes minimum registered professional nurse staffing standards for hospitals and ambulatory surgery facilities and certain DHS facilities.
S3750/A5634 – Enhances enforcement authority over developmental disability service providers; establishes “Residential Facility Quality of Care Improvement Fund” in DHS.
Supporting Social and Economic Needs:
S2229 – Increases benefit amounts and expands eligibility under New Jersey earned income tax credit program.
S2058 – Revises gross income tax credit for child and dependent care expenses by expanding income eligibility and increasing credit.
Protecting the Environment
A4696/S3545 – “Climate Superfund Act”; imposes liability on certain fossil fuel companies for certain damages caused by climate change and establishes program in DEP to collect and distribute compensatory payments.
Social Justice
A602/S3164 – Establishes “New Jersey Reparations Task Force.”
